Julian Roffman

Julian Roffman was a cross-border director who made most of his films in the United States. He was responsible for two notable low-budget horror films: The Bloody Brood and The Mask, the first feature to use 3-D in Canada. He studied film in New York and in 1940 joined the NFB where he became responsible for the Armed Service Production program. In the late 1950s, he joined forces with distributor Nat Taylor to form Taylor-Roffman Productions and produce the two features.
